Make pre decimal/collectable coin operated machines exempt from a gaming licence

Responsible department: Department for Culture, Media and Sport

The aim of this petition is to get the gaming laws changed, so that all pre-decimal, antique and collectable slot machines are made exempt from the need to hold a gaming licence for the purpose of buying, selling and owning them.

I have added this request of yours to our forum also, in hopes it helps you. Good Luck with this, as this is not good at all that they want to require gambling licenses just to own an antique slot. It's always about the money!

The problem with the world today is the high cost of governments.

out if curiosity (since i really know nothing about the laws over there) what would they do if you already own the machine before the law requiring a gaming licence goes into effect? would they seize the machine or maybe fine you? would these machines be "grandfathered in" so to speak (meaning if you owned it before the law its ok)? also how would they even know you had the machine to start with? really seems like a shame they would do this to start with, but i guess thats just government for ya
