Rock-Ola War Eagle on ebay

Postby Dave » Wed Dec 03, 2014 10:08 am

I see there is a Rock-Ola War Eagle listed on ebay right now.

These machines are pretty hard to find. I would be interested but I have one.

He says he will ship the machine via UPS which is foolish. If you get it I would not ship it UPS but rather FedEx.

Disclaimer: I do not know the seller or anything about the machine.

Great machine, and yes, definitely scarce. A note for those that may not have noticed.
That is the FOK top casting, that Rock-Ola used for the conversion of the entirely new
style lower casting.
I already had a pix in my photo-files, of this same exact machine, from Jan. 2009. Not
sure if it was from the same seller at the time. The new owner, should, by all means,
replace that repro door & coin box with originals, and also take the blue paint off the
top back bonnet. Nothing else is needed, as it is an excellent original. Also, a neat story,
about being found behind a false wall.

I don't think a typical Mills back door will fit this machine.

I also don't think the reel strips (and possibly) award card are original. Not a huge deal to most people.

Still, a good machine.

Reel strips are replaced. It should have tin strips that say Rockola on them.

Here is another Rock-Ola War Eagle that recently sold. It brought $2,600

This one had the correct strips and back door.

I see the other one went for around $2,100 which I think was a very reasonable price.

I know the buyer of this one for $2,600.
Nice purchase. All there, and in good condition. Except for that back door lock change.
