Unusual Jennings machines on Ebay

Anyone have any idea what these Jennings machines are? The middle one appears to have a different style handle.

They are currently being listed on E-Bay. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14282&item=6133347536&rd=1#ebayphotohosting). The E-Bay listing has several photos.

I don't ever recall seeing a Jennings machine like these before.

Nice to see something unusual show up instead of the standard Golden Nuggets.

Jennings Machines on eBay

I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but these are three of the plainest looking Jennings slot machines I have ever seen. I don't think any of them is "right". They look like the top half of one of the Jennings floor models. Not exactly sure what they are suppose to be. The handle in the middle is a "club handle" that was used in casinos in the late 40s and 50s. It is nice to seem something special turn up on eBay, but this is not it. Ric Gandy

Yeah, they are a little strange looking, which is why I asked the original question.

I have never been a big fan of Jennings machines (except for the Prospector & golf ball machines) as they are all very similar (at least to me).

However, looking at these on E-Bay sure beats looking at the 'original' Golden Nuggets that are typically listed.

I see there is also a cast iron Mills Operator's Bell currently listed.

Jennings Slot Machines

If you had waded through all of Bob Levy's description of the three machines in question, you would have eventually gotten to the following: .............ALL THREE SLOTS STILL HAVE MILLS LOCKS AND KEYS AS WHEN THEY WERE RESCUED DURING A FLOOD GENERATIONS AGO.........THESE ORIGINAL CONSOLES WERE CUT DOWN EXPERTLY BY A FAMILY IN IOWA AND HAVE A NEAT LOOK AS THE WOOD WAS GIVEN AN ANTIQUE FINISH

My first impression was right. These are what is left of three Jennings consoles that were "rescued during a flood" and "cut down" by some family in Iowa. It is nice to know that Bob thinks they have a "neat look" with the "antique finish" that was applied to them. Maybe that helps justify his opening bid of $4,500.00. I would not give you $500.00 for the pick of the litter. It is also nice to know that these three Jennings slot machines still have the original Mills locks and keys on them. eBay buyers "beware" indeed.

Thanks for clarifying the information about those machines.

I guess I should have read the description a little better. Although, in my opinion, descriptions are very hard to read when they are SHOUTED at me (i.e., everything in capital letters).

I have no idea what the machines are worth since they have been modified. However, I think they would be easily worth more than $500 each. They are not my cup of tea, but what makes this hobby so cool is the great variety of styles of machines out there. I could see someone who is really into wood liking these machines.
