opinion on this Mills/sega takeover?

I will be in Vegas in 2 weeks, not sure I will pay full asking price, but might make an offer. Would appreciate any of your expert opinions on price, but especially the originality versus reproduction possibility :?: ! Thanks !

AAAGH !!! I feel like Chalie Brown !! By the time I saw your post, there was actually a Morphy auction for many slots that just ended..And I am TOO LATE !!!! RATS !!!
But thanks for that, did not know that Morphy place even existed. IN all my searches for slots in the past few months I have been doing this, it never came up !!!
I dont get why. Though the price difference will be a shock to the person on ebay. Now I guess I gotta wait a year for the next auction?

loveoldslots:
You won't have to wait a year for the next Morphy auction. They average at least three a year.
When Roy Arrington had the VCA auctions, they ran twice a year, and on special occasion, three.
Don't get too hasty about jumping at a machine you are unfamiliar with, as there are way too many
Fakes & Repros on the market to watch out for. Good luck, and welcome to our hobby.

Old Roy was from my neck of the woods, his mother lived just 2 miles from my house. I met Roy back in the 80's through a mutual friend. Roy ran quality auctions, though some will disagree. Fakes and repros were not as common back then. If the machine your describing has the MLB prefix then it is most likely a Mills if the prefix starts with SG then it is a Sega. Club handles were generally put on by the Casino for easier play. I have seen both.

All auctions are pretty much the same, know what you want, how much to pay and inspect carefully, and don't forget the commission.
