Bogus War Eagle --Again

Ebay item #160068140940 is a complete reproduction War Eagle. The guy says he thinks it is original and has done research on it. It has the wrong wood cabinet, wrong reel strips, wrong handle and no War Eagle ever paid off on 1 cherry. I'm sure the castings are recast also.

Enough people emailed the seller and he changed the listing to say it may be a reproduction but that he doesn't know for sure and lowered the opening bid. That's good enough.

Good job to WatlingBoy and the rest of you who notified this seller that he had a fake.

He is doing the right thing and letting people know that the machine might not be legitimate.

Unfortunately, it sounds like he might have been taken advantage of 20 years ago when he bought it because he claims it has been in his family for that long and that they didn't know it was a fake.

Please keep up the good work and let sellers know when they are selling a fake on eBay. Not all sellers will admit it, but the honest ones will.
