OK, it has been a while since we have done a poll on what stuff will bring at auction.

Let's see who is closest on what the Schiemer-Yates "Gibson Girl" upright will bring. Do you think it will set a new world's record for a slot machine?

This machine was manufactured in 1905 and was the forerunner to the Caille Venus or Victor slant fronts. As far as I know this machine is a one of a kind as there are none others known to exist.

Click on the photo if you want a really detailed, high resolution photo.

Winner wins nothing except bragging rights :D

The person who is the closest to the price (not counting the juice) of the Gibson Girl Slot machine will receive a 12 month subscription to www.AntiqueSlotMachinePriceGuide.com

This has a full retail value of $139.95

In order to qualify, you MUST reply to this thread and state what your guess is. In addition, your reply MUST be before 10:00 EST on March 3rd, 2007.

If you have already voted in the poll you MUST reply to this thread and state what your guess is.

Only one guess per person. If you guess more than once then your first guess will be used.

Good luck!

Hey! I've been watching The Price is Right for years!! I'll bid $110,001. Just kidding, Dave. I'll wager that someone will have lots of stupid money and go $155,000. In fact, if I win tonight's MegaMillions, I'll bid $155K just to get the free subscription to the Price Guide.

I'm going to guess it will go for 95,000. No particular reason. First thing that popped in my mind.

My plan worked perfectly. Do you think that they'll really expect me to come up with that much money?
