What model is this?

It was sold at auction in the UK without any ID.
Obviously, looks like one of the Daval Humpbacks, but which one?
Appears to have a replacement award card in center circle.
Since it was in UK, one observer suggested the embossed names/instructions were ground off since they might not have any relevance there.

I know it's not possible but a look inside would be nice.

hi, i am pretty sure this was a reel 21 before it had it's bits removed and filled in. i was at the coventry auction and took a couple of pictures. like you and many others i was left scratching my head trying to work out what it was. i took two pictures. if you look closely, one photo clearly shows the outline of where the two outside reel windows would heve been before being ground down and filled in. the wording on the front would have also been ground away and filled in. either that or it was re cast. but my bet would be filled in and lots of paint applied to hide the evidence. notice the gum ball front dispenser and rear flap are both sealed up. :wav:

Hi,
Your location is in the UK. Are there any laws that the Daval Reel "21" would violate in it's original form? The only thing that it could of payed out is a gumball.

Yes, Mr. Bandit; I see where you are right.
There is a Reel 21 hiding under all that Bondo and paint. It has been disfigured almost beyond recognition.
What a shame; someone went to a lot of effort to destroy a Reel 21 to make a simple 3 reel machine with cigarette strips, as if there aren't enough of them around. I guess it seemed like a good idea at the time.
