Al:
If this machine is as cheap as you say, Grab It. If you are handy with wood repair, it will be an easy-fix. Dispite the warpage & veneer pealing, it doesn't appear
to have been in a flood zone, otherwise the felt would be history, and the center casting would not have as much original paint. Hopefully the mechanism is all
there, and working. The handle shaft, and bushing are original. The hardest part, is finding an original handle, as they are larger than normal, and not used on
any other machines, besides all of the Withey variations. I do not know anyone that has recast these handles. Hopefully someone else does. Both coin doors are
intact, which are often missing. This model did not have a frame for the award card. It had a wedge-shaped wood piece, that stood up at the rear, with a card
on both sides. The two screws seen in that position, is where it mounted, only the wood screws came up from the inside, into the bottom of the wood wedge. I
can send you pix & measurements of what it looks like. And, yes I have the award cards for it. As for the small mfrs. plate that goes on the front, not all of the
machines had them. In fact, I have seen the greater number without. If there was one on this machine, you will see two small tack holes at center-front. The
dice have been replaced at some time, as they are too small, with incorrect pips. Thanks for the great pix, as I was able to enlarge and make out the serial 4310.
Good luck, if you pick it up. But if the $50 price tag is out of your league, I will take it. But the owner will have to pay shipping.
