Postby oldslotman » Wed Jun 18, 2014 7:00 pm

Another machine that needs some TLC. Not a lot of info on these machine. Can't even find a picture of one. Does have a jennings mech with jackpot . Glass is in pretty good shape but I don't think that make replacements.

A wiring diagram is in one of Bueschel's Jennings books.
Attached is a copy of it.

Machine is all mechanical. Had some lights in it but they are missing and really not needed.

I have 2 reel bundles exactly like the one in the pic. always thought the symbols were horses not dogs. Maybe they used the same strips for both kinds of machines.

This same reel bundle set, (with the Horseheads), was used in the Pace 'Saratoga' Console machines.
Not sure if the Jennings set has the same payout combinations, but the artwork is the same.

I've never seen a Bobtail, but I do have a 1940 Jennings Modern Vendor that's real close to the wiring diagram I posted. Looking inside the Bobtail, does it so appear parts are missing?

My Modern Vendor origanally had the Bobtail horse reel strips.

Looks like nothing is missing, just the 3 lIghts. No signs of other wiring missing. Works and pays out as it should. All mechanical mech with working jackpot.

I,m thinking that Jennings did not make a lot of these and of those made I,m thinking not a lot of them are still around. I would not consider it a rare machine but you just don't seem to see a lot of them around. JMHO
