Wow! This is what I love to see, and is proof, that this Forum has kept many collectors on the right track,
as far as preserving survivors, without turning it into a 'too shiny', and 'over-painted' disaster. The original
paint colors, are spot-on, and in excellent condition. I have seen some that have been repainted with the
incorrect colors, and do not resemble the original look at all.
I have had one of this same model, for many years, which was in the same original state as this one is, and
have never touched it. Only difference, is that my award card was good, and it has the side gum vender. I
think it's time to do a bit of cleaning on mine, after seeing this, as it has gotten rather dull looking lately.
You have done a fine job with your cleaning, and repairs. Keep up the good work.
