Now THAT is something my wife would allow in the living room.

Was it built from scratch, or a modification of an item available from Pier One or some such place?

Wow! Very nice job. If you built the black cabinet that conceals the jack-in-the-box from scratch,
which is what it looks like, as it is too close of a fit, to have found something this close to what you
wanted, it turned out fantastic. Although not a cabinetmaker by trade, I have always specialized on
the side, with woodworking, in regards to building things in, and hiding things. In fact, some of my
ventures have had such close tolerances, that I am always finding myself planing, filing, or sanding,
to get it to fit. So, I am one that really appreciates any type of work in this line. You have to be an
artist in you own right, and have to be commended for such a fine job. Bravo! =D>

Not a single nail or screw used to build cabinet except for
small tack nails for face hardware. 17 coats of lacquer
