I have seen these stands in the past, but never had one. Also never seen this ad, for color-match choices. Great ad.

Any idea what year this ad came out?
Nice 'subdued' colors. Complements, rather than detracts from, the beautiful design of the machines.

Hi,
These Jennings "Four Star Chief" models were produced from late 1936 through 1937, they did this marketing of different color choices after Caille brought out their range of "Cadet" and "Commander" models in 1936 with six different color choices.

Honestly ,no clue where I got the ad from & it's not dated. But Freddy is correct on the dating. wonder if the 1 star chief was the same ?

Now my original 5 cent four star "Prosperity chief" is in 1 shade brown on all areas.. luckily the woman I bought it from (in her 70's) painted over the original paint when she was a kid... in Copper ! ! but that saved all of the original. pain in the butt to take that off & save the rest.
but this ad would have you believe it should be blue. today they are repainted all kinds of fancy colors (mainly by high end dealers).
interesting ads for the Caille machines. nice you had a choice of colors back then. Most were like Henry Ford... " you can have these cars in any color you want ,as long as it"s Black". it kept the cost down.

Here is one of the stands here. Gives me another idea. Repaint the stand and add my Four Star.

if you can get the colors to match the 4 star, why not ?? Marry the two together.
