Real of Fake?

Looks like it sold for $2200 plus a 23% buyers premium.

I'm a newbie but I'm going with fake.

The POSTER CHILD for fake.
If it says ROYAL BELL... it is fake.
If it has the extended handle as this does... it is 99.95 fake.
There are other ways / clues / tip-offs that you will learn as you gain experience about machines.
It takes time, but, eventually, you'll be able to spot many of them across the room.

It's sad to see people get taken by these auction sites. That person took a $2700 hit and likely paid shipping on top of it.

As much controversy that has been talked about on this Forum, regarding "Golden Nugget" machines,
it is still not sinking-in to some. We have to give the newbies, a pass or two, but after that, you are
on your own.
NOTE: 99.9% OF ALL "GOLDEN NUGGET" MACHINES THAT ARE ON EBAY,
LIVE AUCTIONS, and SHOWS, ARE ALL FAKE. Very seldom does an original
show up anywhere.

The only people that should even consider buying one, is a non-collector, that just wants something
spiffy for his game room. But not pay a ridiculous price to do so. These FAKES are really not worth
anything more than $850. Also note, that all the "Hole-in-One" and "Grand Slam" configurations are
Total FAKES as well. There should be a Photo Gallery set up on this Forum for all newbies to visit,
that pictures every Fake machine that has ever been put together, without having to look through
all of the various postings, to learn about them. How about it Dave?

Bill has made an excellent suggestion.
That (hopefully) would help to educate those who need it.

I think most machines are purchased before the buyer finds this forum..Just my 2 cents worth. PJ

You are absolutely correct. We can only do our part in getting the message out to as many of
the new collectors as possible. Sadly, most of them hear about our Forum after it's too late.
Hopefully the ones that do get our feedback, don't get snookered again.
