Mills Compact

Does anybody own one of these? I've never seen one in captivity. Would think they are worth having for their historical value.

What you have is one of three versions of Mills Compact open front machines. This version is the earliest and should have BELL-O-MATIC embossed on the top of the cabinet. The next version was the M-head. The coin head looked like the letter M with denomination button on the right. The cabinet was embossed with just the MILLS name. The final version was made for casino ships. The coin head was the same used on coinop kiddie rides mounted on the old M-head base. Used almost exclusively on casino boats, they had nothing embossed in the cabinet top. None of the compacts had jackpots. The last version had a front double lock cash box which also had the money bowl attached to.

to bad an extreme percentage of these were tossed into land fills after Bally took the slot machine business by storm in 1964 ,onward.
