Jeff, Jeff, Jeff:
You need to get out of the house more often. Go to the target range, and work on some tighter groups!
You have spent way too many hours going into super-detail, on this "Champion" reel strip configuration so
far, which many of our readers probably don't care about.
As for me, I am into this sort of thing, and appreciate all your hard work. In fact, I am saving all your scans
into a special file, that has other similar material. Maybe I shouldn't tell you this, but all the Daval token-pay
machines, have the exact same style reels like the Groetchen. (Photo of Daval set below). Also, not all reel
sets are the same. There are different notch patterns for some special symbol strips.
I still don't know how soon it will be, that I can come up with a solution of workable reel strips for the owners
machine as yet. The set on the machine now, is too far off to easily alter. I have gone through all my stock of
original items, that haven't been printed yet, and do not have this exact set. Yes, I could make them up from
scratch, but that is not my way. I have always used Original material to work with. Another big problem with
the strips in question here is, if you don't have a like-new flawless set to work with, there is much touch-up to
do on all the symbols having a dark spot in the center of each symbol, from the pay-bars hitting them, where a
hole is not present, as can be seen in the pics above. I have even seen reels that have a continuous stripe up the
center of the strip, or have even been torn, because of this feature.
And the beat goes on!
