How many slot machines are in your collection?

Postby Dave » Sun Jan 20, 2008 11:24 am

I thought it might be interesting to do a simple poll to see how many machines people own. If you respond to the poll, your answer will NOT be displayed with your id.

I define a slot machine as a machine that pays out coins or tokens when you win something. Therefore, a CheckBoy or Mills Pilot would be considered a slot machine.

I will run another poll for trade stimulators.

Slot machines

I only have a Mills QT Chevron at the moment but I dream of one day owning a machine in a console that dispenses golf balls.

My collection can vary from 10 or 12 down to 1 or 2, depending on my buying and selling. My wife doesn't care to have slot machines all around the house like I used to. So I mainly buy to repair or restore and then sell.

@tmhatting, it is your time, except for the console bit. Victorian Casino Antiques, March 8th, lot 55.

It looks a lot like Ebay item #6234627953 that Dave mentioned in the Ebay forum in 2005.

Golf Ball Slot

Postby tmhatting » Tue Apr 08, 2008 8:27 pm

Thanks for the heads up on the slot. I feel I have to mention a pet peeve though - for those of you with these beautiful machines -DON'T fill them with those nasty looking shag balls! It's an insult to the machine.

FYI, the Golf Ball machine that sold at auction went very cheap. Thousands less than what they typically bring.

Someone got a real deal.

I've got 3 quarter machines and a dime. Was into coin-op awhile back, then got back into coins. Here's the Pace Comet:
