box of decals for reel strips

Postby JHSS-1944 » Sat Apr 01, 2017 11:58 pm

Hello;
Just got this today. a fairly large box of decals (water transfer type)for making reel strips. plus the indian head decals, Mills /Bell-o-matic ,Chicago decals , some reels strips , ect.,ect. and blank reel strips in a shinny silver color. some of the fruits are large size , some small (trade stimulator I guess).

top right, are bar decals / complete piece = bars & fruits / then just the fruits (already cut away from the bars). all the other bits & pieces are individual fruits ,ect. already cut out from the bigger piece. also numbers/ cent sign / dollar sign. melon decals in envelope, gold award decals in an envelope, tons of the smaller fruits , ect. in an envelope. note some odd ball fruits = Grapes (small), Apples (big), Pears (small)

I guess I can make reel strips from now till doomsday , if I can find the time. this turned out to be 4 times bigger than I thought I was buying And I was never shown the G.A. or the Melons.
being vintage items , not sure how good they are to use. on my "Lord Sega", I always swore the strips were decals on flat black strips = could be.

seller picked up a bunch of slot stuff at a sale. I bought these , & he's letting me know what else he has. working on another deal with a woman, looks to be 8 or 10 slot machines totally taken apart & in boxes currently. more on that later.....

jeff H. I do find the weird stuff, don't I.

A scan of the more common stuff in this group. nothing printed on the back side of any of them.
lets pretend these were made in the 1980's, still might not be usable today , Brittle ect.
believe these are older than that / originals.

heres a pix of a sega light up topbox

this was a version of the diamond/bonanza star mad money cabinet

with much enlarged topbox that featured the extra symbols to normal

the mech was 22 stop or more i have one somewhere in the racking

strangely it was named Starline on the award card under the reelglass

but i have never seen one with a cast starline model marquee in form

of the mad money/diamond star/bonanza star which was fitted under

the sega embossing. the pears and grape symbols on these would have

course been smaller scale to standard symbol artwork due to higher stops.

See ,ask a question , get an answer. Thank you Very much for this information !! very nice.
next odd ball question. any one recall the highest amount of stops seen on a "all" mechanical slot machine ??
the name "Starline"actually sounds familiar to me some how....
thank you. guess these decals may have been British made ,to rework these machines ?
