Slots to rent for movie?

Postby Hamish Purdy » Wed Nov 08, 2017 8:43 am

Hi, Dave suggested I post this here. I'm a Set Decorator working on a 20th Century Fox film that takes place in the mid 1960's.
Forgive me, I am not a slot machine expert...just learning.
I'm looking to RENT x6 to 8 matching or similar slot machines for one of our sets.
In our movie, the casino has lost its licence. NONE OF THE MACHINES HAVE TO WORK OR LIGHT UP.
These are to be placed in a row at one end of the Casino. I'd be looking for anything from a Jennings Club Chief to Bally Money Honey.
Whatever we can find 6 to 8 of. We can provide a full deposit / certificate of insurance. Would want these for about 3 months (Jan-March 2018)
If anybody has machines like this and are interested in renting them, please let me know. Thanks!

Hi,
Many filmmakers in the past have used slot machines as props that are not in line with the period of their move, if you are making a movie that was set in the mid 1960's, you should use Bally models, because by that time every major casino had moved over from Jennings to Bally, also it will be much cheaper for you to rent Bally machines than Jennings machines that carry a much heavier rental cost, because they are more collectable. If you give me a call or email me I can guide you in the right direction. I can be reached at 201-878-2743 0r by email at freddy@gameworldgroup.com

I have 30 of the 70's Jennings J400 machines, all complete, from a casino and stored for 30 years in a storage locker.

They are all matching, and just need to be cleaned up.

Also have about 10 Bally E-series slots, all functional.

Located in the Denver area. Let me know if you're interested.
