Tool to remove heavy springs

Postby Nick » Sun Aug 05, 2018 11:53 am

Can anyone suggest what tool might be helpful in removing and replacing heavy duty springs on mechs?

I need to remove and replace the clock spring on a Mills.

Also, I have to remove and replace the two heavy springs on the right side of a Jennings, so that I can remove the escalator to work on. These two springs are very heavy and tight.

Any hints would be welcome!

Thanks.

Hi Nick
Forgot to mention these from Sears or Ace Hardware. These might work better on heavy duty springs.
