The tab that stops the coins from dropping into the pay out tube is sticking and coins are not dropping in the tube and ends up empty so the machine stops paying out. I think the spring needs replacement. Is their an easier way to get at the spring than taking the assembly completely apart?

That is called a coin management system. It allows the jackpot to refill quicker after a jackpot is hit. It can gum up and not work properly if not maintained. Needs to be cleaned and oiled once in a while.

I have sprayed the pivot point with WD 40 4 times in the last year. I try to get it to free up but it never seems to get very loose. That is why I was thinking it was the spring. It go back so far and then sticks.

it is all based off how many coins are in the coin tube.

Do you recommend something other than WD 40 for cleaning and lubricating the pivot point.

I use PB blaster. You can remove that system from your machine if you want. Many machines have had it removed.

When I got the machine the jackpot system was missing. I found a used replacement and like the jackpot coin dropping. I am just trying to get it working the way it should. After hours of trying to get at it I am going to follow your advice and try a cleaner and a different lubricant. I have had the machine 4 years now other than the escalator jamming because coins are put in too fast this is the only other problem I have had with it. Thanks for the help.
