Calling All Pace Experts

Guys,

I have recently purchased my first Pace slot machine. I have experience with Mills, Jennings and Columbia machines but this is new territory for me.

My slot is a 10 cent Comet Fancy Front. But it has Bantam reel strips on it. Now while I have never seen one in person, it is my understanding that a Bantam is a significantly downsized machine compared to a normal Bell slot. If this is true then it doesn't seem like this could be a Bantam mech that has been swapped into my Comet case. And if the previous is true then the only other explanation is that someone put Bantam reel strips on my Comet mech. But this could only work if the reel size was the same between the two machines.

So please, all you Pace experienced guys, tell me which it is.

I have a Bantam 1 cent and a quarter slug detector Rocket. I have been told that Pace used reel strips that may not match the machine. Stops would agree 10/20, but you may see Bantam strips on a Comet or a Rocket, Vice Versa.
