Caille payout slides

This forum has been a huge help in dealing with my Caille Commander!
Here’s the new issue. It was only paying out sporadically on two cherries, nothing else. So I disassembled the slides, using photos from a known good machine. Replaced all three sets of payout springs, cleaned the slides, removed some hidden jammed coins, emptied the payout tube (twice), and refitted everything (twice). Machine runs good, but will not payout. It’s like the slide package is not moving back and forth.
Looking for help..again!
Thanks in advance!

My hunch is that you need to look at the other end of the coin slide stack. Watch the hardware that pushes the master slide forward from behind, and the hardware that latches it forward, and the hardware that releases the whole mess to effectuate the payout. I'm guessing you're getting hinked-up somewhere back there, so your coin slides either never get fed by the coin tube or they never make it to the payout drop-hole.

You are the Caille master! The slides are full of dimes when I take it apart. I think you are correct with the other end of the chain. I’ll focus my attention there. Thanks again!

Well, whatever I did now all slides move on every pull, and it dumps coins no matter what the combination of symbols is!

I repeat: "Watch the hardware that pushes the master slide forward from behind, and the hardware that latches it forward, and the hardware that releases the whole mess to effectuate the payout." From what you're saying, I think what is happening is the slide stack is simply being pushed back and forth on each cycle, and not latching forward at all, resulting in a missing "fifth click." [Perhaps you're also stuck in a payout mode too, such as a balky or stuck lower horizontal finger, causing the bottom slide to keep shuttling coins to the payout drop-hole; can't be sure because I'm not clairvoyant.] Pay particular attention to the interconnected, crossed parts indicated in the picture: when there is no payout, the outer part will hang on a pawl at the end of the inner part; when there is a payout, the inner part will pass through the outer part. Make sure that these parts are well lubricated and functioning as they should: you should see that the outer part extends well into the mech alongside the slide stack, and acts as a latch retaining the master slide to prevent any payout when none is called for... but in your case, it probably isn't. Is it all gummed-up? Has the spring come off it? I can't be sure, because, again, I'm not clairvoyant. #-o

After much adjustment and lubrication, my Caille Commander is now paying out on a consistent basis. Thank you!
