Opinion wanted

Postby wallruss001 » Fri Jan 30, 2026 5:49 pm

I have recently bought this High-Top Bonus. Plays and pays perfectly but has a good bit of cosmetic wear. I prefer to keep untouched and original but asking for your thoughts.

Thanks,
Howard

HI Nice find . I would restore it if it was my machine. I did this Mills slot over a while back.

I agree that you should restore it. The paint and cabinet are pretty worn. Normally, if the paint on the castings and the cabinet are in good or at least a decent shape, I leave it original. But I think you'll like the finished product more if you restore it.

Thanks Gents,
Anyone have info on that green matte paint? The maroon and gold are easy to match.

I would restore it. Slots are flashy to draw you in to play. Are you more attracted to a rusted out 1957 Chevy, or one that has been repainted, rechromed and reupholstered?
