Alstate space jet bell reel questions.
Posted: Thu Feb 19, 2026 8:36 pmHi all. Recently aquired one of these and currently trying to get the reel to spin correctly. I've cleaned the timing arms and got them moving freely. But when I pull the handle the kicker isn't fully engaging. I can get it to manually fully engage but not when pulling the handle. So first question is how to fix/adjust that. Then any other fine tuning (brakes etc). I've dabbled with more modern machines (bally, sigma etc) but first time really getting into the mechanics of one of these. Thanks!
