IMP trade stimulator-query re mechanism

I am just finalising restoration of an IMP trade stimulator. In the attached pic in the centre there is a threaded tab which connects to the housing lever mech. It seems to me there may be something missing from this tab? Would really appreciate any help. Thanks Wayne.

After referring to a spring mechanism inventory for IMP, kindly provided by Dave Berten some time ago, I can see there is a missing glide/nut from the assembly.

That nut you are referring to makes the machine penny play, and without it, like yours, it will operate with a nickel. Therefore, you are not necessarily missing anything if your machine is nickel play.

Thanks for the advice George. The machine is actually penny play but I will try a nickel. I just do not like the mechanism being guided by a 'thread'. Can you confirm pls it is an elongated nut that is missing with the back portion rounded to form a sleeve? Thanks Wayne

It is a standard 8-32 nut holding a bushing (sleeve) that is 3/16" long and 1/4" outside diameter.

Oh thanks so much George for providing clarification and the detailed sizing of the nut and bush. I had already fabricated a bush which worked fine but as you will see in a pic it was slightly too long not allowing the nut to assume required number of threads. I will now re-size based on the info you provided. Again thanks Wayne.
