These are the Hi-Chem hammer colours available here in Australia. I have found this product to be terrific in terms of application and finish.

VHT makes a black and a red wrinkle coat colors. You could possibly use it as a base coat. Now as for the finish not sure just how you could come up with that color. I’ve seen custom colors come in spray bomb cans, but not sure who could make these up?
Larry Zeidman in Southern California might be able to help you locate this person that makes up custom paint in spray cans.

Yep I have used VHT wrinkle finish in the past and got good fairly good results (Groetchen Ginger in red recently). I am using that red as a base coat on a test piece to see how it copes with a different colour finish layer. Should be no problem getting close to the green. Not a perfect solution but will be interesting to see how it goes. Waiting 48 hours for the red to dry.

Completed a test on the sample metal bracket using in separate sections primer and no primer. With primer the green (over the counter green automotive spray can) was a shade light and without primer too dark. I will play around with a slightly darker primer to achieve a closer match. I was happy that using the VHT wrinkle base coat the finish following primer and finish coat looks fine in terms of the original. I note that many vest pocket restos are finished in quite bright colours or the later twin colours. I prefer this original, fairly dour finish, because I believe it gives a 'camouflage' effect which is in keeping with the history of the machine.

Here is the wrinkle green that you probably need. Unfortunately, I don't think is produced anymore. Flip.

Oh wow flip that is incredible info-thanks =D> and the colour on the cap-thats sure it! I have sent a message to VMR but I am conscious that even if available that flammable warning on the can would probably prohibit shipping to Australia. Wayne

Received a very quick response from Dirk Moler the Owner of VMR- I bought this company a couple years ago and the previous owner did not leave me a formula for that color. I have never seen a can like that either. Sorry.'

I have completed a test on a piece of cast alloy. This follows x3 coats(5 minute spacing) of VHT black wrinkle finish; after 48 hours grey primer; and a finish coat of green acrylic lacquer matched (my local auto panel beater) to the green inside the back door. I am very happy with result and will now proceed to refinish the complete housing.

Completed refinish of the housing. Fairly happy with result although light seems to shadow the wrinkle finish in the pic. These pics reflect the black wrinkle base, primed and finally green finish. I will post further pics when resto complete.
