Atlas Master 5/10 Cent candy/peanut machine

Postby Mikeythekat » Wed Nov 18, 2020 9:05 am

Hello. I'm a noob when it comes to old candy machines. I found this at an antique store and loved the look and condition of it, especially the hand made glass. I've been looking online to learn more about this machine but this particular one doesn't seem to have much information available very easily. I've looked up the patents on the front and they date back to the 1950's. I've struck out locating information about Buckeye Vendors as well.

I'm really interested in learning more about the history of this machine and possibly determine when it was manufactured. It also needs a new dispensing chute because one of the cast metal tabs that hold the chute cover has broken.

I would really appreciate any information from some veteran experts in the candy machine community if possible.

Thank you very much.

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking that time frame because of the patents but wasn't sure if they were made until the 80's and maybe this was a "newer" one.

Do you know of anywhere I might find a manual or parts diagram? There is a part that was loose in the coin collection of the base that I think would cover the coin mechanism but I can't figure out how it would fit there with the chute in place. I'm also trying to find a replacement chute if there are any out there.

Thanks so much!
