Hello experts!

First off, thank you all for all of the wonderful information on this site. I have learned alot about mechanical slot machines.

I have a Mills Poinsettia and I can not figure out how the jackpot is tripped. I can manually dump the jackpot by depressing the lever to the left (on the jackpot).

However, on a jackpot payout it will not dump. I can not see what would actuate the lever.

Can anyone explain how the jackpot and reserve on a poinsettia operate? I am also womdering if I am missing anything to operate the jackpot.

Please see attatched pictures,

Thank you in advance.

I haven't figured out the Jackpot as of yet, but figured I could put a few pictures up of my progress.

When I picked up this machine, someome had spray painted it silver, and re painted the details. It was extremely dirty, missing the back and the slide from behind the gooseneck. It was also jammed up with some checks and nickels from the 30's. The base was also split.

Since buying it, I have ordered a new back, lock, springs and slide. Just waiting for them in the mail.

I followed some of the advise on this page and stripped the castings with aircraft paint stripper. (Worked very well). I have been painting the details lately and they are coming out nicely. I also repaired the base and lightly re finished the wood with one coat of laquer.

I need to clean the mech, but that will be further down the road.
