Poinsettia jackpot trip lever

Hello all,
I am lost on how the jackpot is tripped on my poinsettia. The lever labelled #1 will dump the jackpot when the mech is out, but with the mech in, the lever rests against the mech (spot with 3 red dots).
I can not see what pushes this lever to dump the jackpot. Even with the top casting off, nothing comes to mind. I have also included a picture with the mech installed. The jackpot dump lever is the red dot, and where it meets the mechanism is the green dot.
I appreciate the help!!
Brian

Hi,
I guess the question I have is will it dump the Jackpot with the mechanism in the cabinet? (Is there an obstruction?)
Align the wheels with the mechanism inside the cabinet for a payoff by holding the fan blade in-between reels while you align things us.
(Guessing you already know how to do this)
If it does the payout, do ya really care how it does it?
Sometimes I will use my i-phone to video the movements for better understanding.
If you don't already have it I recommend purchasing the correct Owner's Pictorial Guide
Robert N. Geddes & Daniel R. Mead
I sincerely hope that this helps a little,

That lever does not trip the jackpot. The jackpot works off of the top slide. Nothing pushes that lever to dump the jackpot.

Hi Will and Oldslotman,
First, thank you both for your replies.
My machine does dump with the mechanisim in the machine if done manually. But if I line up the reels to pay a jackpot, it will only do the 20 nickel payout and not dump the jackpot.
Oldslotman- thank you for the reply, I will further investigate on how the top slide makes the jackpot dump

Humm,
I thought the jackpot on that machine was Bar, Bar, Bar or GUM, GUM, GUM, and that ='s a 20 Nickle Payout.
Is the coin tube full and is the reserve full?

I have the issue solved now, I was fixated on the lever being the trip for the jackpot.
The piece on the jackpot (red arrow) was installed wrong and not releasing the jackpot when the top slide moved in. Once i switched it around to the correct position, it works like a charm.
Thank you again guys and to Oldslotman for getting me into a new train of thought!
