Ballys 809-9ZS fuse issues

Postby wittmannj » Thu Apr 01, 2021 12:51 pm

3 amp fuse on the 10v side keeps tripping. So i unplugged the wheel mech and payout. Still would trip the fuse. To amp reading and it was at 4 amps. Then took out multipliers with the lights out of the equation and still reading over 4 amps. That circuit handles the payout by attendant light and the two bottom coin tray lights what I can see. Any help would be greatly appreciated I do have the service manual for this machine but unable to figure problem out. Also I did have this machine running last month this problem occurred. Also the book says its an 8mp fuse for that circuit.

I see a 6 volt transformer with a 8 amp fuse in that circuit. No 10 volt CIRCUIT.Use the 8 amp fuse.

USE THE 8A FUSE IF IT STILL BLOWS THEN YOU NEED TO CHECK FOR A SHORT. IT COULD BE A BAD COIL.
