Help with “indexing” reel discs please

I have the reel put back together, but now the teeth are not aligning… not worried about paper, need a video of how to align… have the little holes at top of discs tried to stick rod and then tighten reels, that did not work, tried to align with jackpot method as in book, but I must be missing something… any help appreciated….

Here's two pages from the Mead and Geddes book "Owner's Pictorial Guide for the care and understanding of the Mills Bell Slot Machine". This shows you how to do it. I don't have a video. The key is to loosen the 2 hub bolts that hold the reels in place, then tighten them while you have a nail/pin going through the 3 holes in the reel discs - or else have the teeth from the discs caught on the reel stop lever - so the discs don't move. Hope this helps.
