Rust prevention

Hello,

I start my first restoration. After I have degreased/de -oiled the parts, I wonder if it makes sense to apply rust protection.
Is it recommended to apply rust protection to the not moving parts? If so, which means do you use? One with wax?

Thanks for your tips.

greeting

Do a advanced search by typing the word RUST. You will probably find your answer.

I like to get the rust off the metal surfaces for appearance purposes in a restoration, after I've used solvent to get the grease and dirt off. I've been using Rustoleum Rust Dissolver, Gel Formula for the last year, which has worked very well to remove surface rust, and provides a protective coating. It works better than Naval Jelly, which I'd used in the past.
