Hello,
Does anyone know what this type of lock washer is called? Are they still made/used? What type of equipment is required to attach them?
Many thanks,
Ernie

That's not a lock washer. It's the end of the shaft that's been peened with a special tool. Shaft is retained onto the metal plate permanently once it's formed.
Slowly building a knowledge base on E2000 series Bally machines and J400 Jennings. Started with the antique Mills and Jennings. Getting there...

Axel Cap / Push Nut

I wonder, if you needed to remove or replace that part, if you could use the correct size Axel Cap in its place.
To me it looks like a crimped axel nut.
