Prevent jackpot from dumping when reinstalling mechanism

Postby TJF » Sun Feb 11, 2024 5:14 pm

Hello

I have a Mills Castle Front 10-cent machine that I recently acquired. I'm trying to determine the correct way to reinstall the mechanism while leaving the jackpots (main and reserve) intact.

I've tried resetting it manually before reinstalling the mechanism, but it seems to trip and dump the coins when I put the mechanism back in place.

I've also tried not resetting it, and that allows me to reinstall the mech without dumping it, but on the next pull, it dumps the reserve into the main jackpot, overflowing it all into the cash box.

What is the proper way to accomplish this? :?

Thanks!

The lever on the right hand side of the jackpot is suppose to hold the jackpot closed when removing and replacing the mech. It has to be set up properly to work.

oldslotman is correct but you need to unhook those two springs laced together and only use one and place it in the right position per the attached picture.
