I purchased this caille slot machine and a few other machines. I can't determine exactly what model of slot this is. The coin mech serial number is 40978. The serial on the horizontal cross bar at the bottom is 92015. I'll attach a bunch of pictures. Any help is much appreciated as it seems these waters are quite murky with misinformation and disinformation.

Very sure that that's a Caille Bros. "Cadet," their 1936 model.

How about estimated value? It functions totally, is seemingly only missing the rear cabinet lock. Any idea on potential buyers in Michigan/ Midwest?

You practically answer your own question with the very fact that you obviously have no interest in the machine or its history by immediately asking what you can get for it; the truth is, Caille Cadets are among the most plentiful and undesirable antique slots "out there," where even the rarest and most attractive and collectible slots can't appreciate in value even to offset inflation. The market simply isn't there: those who-- unlike you-- are interested and would collect antique slots are dying of old age, while those who pay big bucks to collect comic books and barbie dolls have no interest whatsoever...

You indicate here that you're only missing a cabinet lock; maybe it's just an accident that no back door appears in any of your pictures, but you're also missing an original coin box. If the machine were complete in its present condition, it could fetch maybe $300-$500 from an interested dealer or collector, if you can dig one of them up in the Midwest or anywhere else.

Yes you are correct my interests are not in collecting antique slot machines. I utilize modern equipment however I bought a lot containing various machines and the cadet isn't exactly functional for a business use. I'm in the coin op business not the collection of antique machines. I just couldn't pass up the other machines in the lot. So yes the cadet and probably the hyper remix will both be funding additional functional equipment. Your 3 to 500 is the lowest estimate I've got or seen on sold comps/auctions for lesser machines. And yes I have the rear door, as well as the coin box.
