Unknown Wall slot (Allwin Type)

Hi could anyone identify this wall mounted (Allwin type)
Recently bought at an auction in the UK
It is very similar to the clown catcher, but the workings are different
Works on the old English halfpenny
The nearest I can find to it is a shield catcher made by an unknown maker
Any help appreciated
