Mills Bell Fruit 5¢ - Part identification

Hello,

Brand new to the board and just beginning to completely strip down a 1930s Mills Cherries 5¢ slot machine from a family collection. I ordered and started reading (today) the Geddes/Meade Owner’s Pictorial Guide. I am looking forward to this project.

The one part that I am trying to identify before totally starting to strip the assembly is a broken piece that I found in the middle of the machine. The photo is attached. I’d like to figure out what it is in order to have it on hand for when I get to that step in the process.

Thanks!

Joe

Hello and Welcome to the forum, based on the thickness of your mystery item, I would guess it's part of your operating fork and kicker assembly. Posting more pictures of your mechanism/cabinet would be helpful.

it's the back of a master slide early version. if you have the slide it can be welded back on, if not you have a piece of scrap!!!

Sorry for the delay…I have been under the weather this week. Thank you all very much. This was the area that it was recovered from. I will be breaking the machine down later this week and will post a follow up photo. I appreciate it!!!!!
