I have an Early Silent Sphinx.
My issue is with the 2 cherry part to fill the jackpot.
not sure whether the linkage to the payout finger is missing or the Sphinx was designed to fill the JP some other way??

I sorted it.
the early Sphinxs do not filll the jackpot via the 2 cherry pay.
there is a little brass L shaped lever at the bottom left corner of the escalator.
it swings freely in a square hole cut into the channel that feeds the jackpot.
once jackpot is full it shuts off ensuring subsequent coins played are lifted up the escalator into the coin tube.
