Pace Comet Movie / TV Prop

I just found this Pace Comet prop in an antique store this weekend. It is made of fiberglass but very detailed and looks like it was made from molds taken from original castings. Even the back door is accurate with indentations where the lock hole would be.

Has anyone seen one of these before and where it might have been used?

Are you sure this prop was made for TV? I would figure such an elaborate and expensive-to-fabricate prop to more likely have come out of a high-budget gangster movie, where they needed rows of identical '30s machines to make for a convincing period casino interior scene. I'd look for a movie produced in the mid-80s (the nickel painted into the escalator has the year "1985" or "1983" indicated), featuring any-- or any number-- of the usual suspects: Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Harvey Keitel, Danny Aiello... that bunch. I'm just guessing! =P~
