Are you sure this prop was made for TV? I would figure such an elaborate and expensive-to-fabricate prop to more likely have come out of a high-budget gangster movie, where they needed rows of identical '30s machines to make for a convincing period casino interior scene. I'd look for a movie produced in the mid-80s (the nickel painted into the escalator has the year "1985" or "1983" indicated), featuring any-- or any number-- of the usual suspects: Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Harvey Keitel, Danny Aiello... that bunch. I'm just guessing!
