I removed the mechanism, got everything free and moving degreased etc. It was completely frozen and wouldn't do anything. What i can't figure out is why regardless of where the reels stop, it pays out 3 quarters. Suggestions on what to look for?

Update: I managed to get the 100% payout fixed and pays on winning combos. My new problem is that I'm short one coin on all the payouts except the cherry and orange payouts. Everything else pays out one coin short...

3 bellfruits pays 19 not 20
3 plum pays 13 not 14 etc etc

That's not unusual. Newer coins are thicker than the old silver coins so when they stack up inside the payout slides the higher payout maybe one coin short.
