Need help on a broken slot machine

We bought for 150 bucks a Pachislo Super Stardust Olympia slot machine, it was working fine then the intro music stopped and also now the hopper doesn't spit coins out, not really knowing anything about these things, I have cleaned and pulled connectors to reset them in their plugs and still nothing. It's right now a large boat anchor, we are looking at getting a different one but I would like a chance at saving this one.

Hi, Have you tried to do a total reset from the control box, that machine is 24 yrs old and even through it may not show an error code on the front door it sometimes just needs as they say a hard reset. Give it a shot. Good Luck

I have taken this thing apart, the key reset on the power supply does nothing, there is a red reset button that won't reset anymore. It's like this thing just trashed itself. The intro music and banner lighting does nothing. I am just not sure where to go with this thing. We had it two days and it was ok then what the heck. No nothing from the hopper. It plays and does the credit thing when you hit but nothing else. I hate to just throw it away.

I am unfamiliar with your machine but I have a Bally machine that has similar issues sometimes. There are 3 fuses behind the hopper and sometimes one will blow. It is not at my place and I have not yet figured out what triggers it to blow fuses, but I will as soon as I take it home and can spend the time.

Yes there is a power supply and then a motherboard, I will take a photo of the inside. two days ago those purple lens would light up and music would play. Also no hopper action. The credits show up and also the credits add up when you make a hit but otherwise nothing else, the sound when it does make sounds is really distorted. Very disappointing .
