I have found that non coin access bottom panel a real pain to remove coins nvmos2. I think I may try and devise some form of coin holder so I do not need to tip the machine upside down to retrieve coins; or keep an eyeout for another base.

I have found that the absence of a bottom coin door was a pain retrieving coins. Fabricated a removable coin receptacle which works fine.

Finally got round to replacing the rather tattered reel strips - used Elmers rubber cement and found it very friendly to use. Also made a couple of token retainer clips from stainless which invariably seem to be missing.

Looks like an excellent job! I believe that is one of the correct colors; nice work.

You may not be following feebay (US), but there was another one with a wood base on there that had no door in the base bottom.
The interesting thing about it; the coin access hole in the mechanism base was an unmodified circle as used for machines without the wood base.
I felt that reenforced my above mentioned theory that when they started with the wood base, they modified the opening as they went along. This one looked original and would have been an early unmodified one.
The listing may still be available in the completed auctions.

Thats an interesting observation on the base nvmos2. Looking at the the whole timber base however is it original? I have not seen that style of base on other machines including a timber bottom retaining the coins which does not appear original to me. This is a further pic of the base on my machine.

Yes; the wood base on the eBay machine is distinctly different from others.
It looks like it could be original, but I really don't know.
Perhaps it was an initial design as the wood base was added and evolved.

I have noted that the action on my machine once the dime is inserted and the lever is depressed is problematic. It requires a very deliberate sharp action to fully depress the lever and even then it requires on most occasions a second action to fully depress and release the lever. It almost seems that that the lever action is not fully activating the pivot which connects to the coin and activates the mechanism. I have dithered on this for some weeks without resolution. I would appreciate any tips or pointers please. Thanks Wayne.
