Extrabell "Aitkens front"

Postby rustydog14 » Sat Apr 28, 2007 9:55 pm

What should the payout be for the original Aitkens Front? It is one of the machines that is remanufactured. Two different slot machine info books show different payouts. I have a machine that pays 2 coins on one cherry and 5 coins on two cherries. One book shows that it's the correct payout. The other book shows 3 coins for two cherries and 5 coins for two cherries with a lemon or bell. I know that most half-tops payout on two cherries and two cherries with a lemon/bell, but the Aitken front is a late 1940's machine. ?

Hello,
Your slot is a Mills of the 40's (made around 1946).
So the right payement is 3 coins for 2 cherry and 5 coins for 2 cherry AND a lemon OR a bell on the third reel.
The next payement is 3 oranges or 2 orange AND Bar for 10 coins.
37 slots machines.... May be more ?

Extrabell ad representation

Postby rustydog14 » Thu May 03, 2007 8:25 pm

Thank you for the reply. It is interesting that on page 182 of "Lemons, Cherries, and Bell-Fruit-Gum" by Richard M. Bueschel, an advertisement representation shows the payout with one cherry two coins and two cherries five coins for the Extrabell. I know it was a revamp kit, can it be both ways depending on the Mill's mech. they used?
