Help on slot restoration...Please!!!

Im in the process of restoring an old mills hightop, and im down to the castings, coin tray, and handle, but im not sure what should be chromed VS. what should be polished?? Also, the raised horizontal lines on the lower front casting and the jackpot area, should these be chromed/polished? An expert opinion would be greatly appreciated!!!

The cast iron handle was chrome plated and all aluminum castings were just polished. Mills did not plate aluminum castings.

As far as i know only the handle top and the handle hub should be chrome. All castings are polish.
