Postby lyle1965 » Fri Feb 04, 2011 7:52 pm

i just recently restored my first slot machine and decided to finish it off and do the reel bundle. looked reel easy, but now my pay outs are not correct.. is there a way or trick to line the reels and payout disks/fingers for correct payouts...any suggestions?

Did you remove the reel strips?

If you did remove the strips then you can move the strips on the tins (assuming you have not crimped them down). Otherwise you need to loosen the nuts which connect the reel tins to the axle. Easiest way to do this is with a socket wrench using a socket extender. Only reels 1 and 2 have these nuts.

The holes on the payout discs correspond to the symbols. The outermost hole is for cherry, the next one in is orange, then plumb, then bell, then bar.

The easiest way is to align the bars with bar hole because there are only two bars on reels #1 and #2 (typically) and one bar on reel #2.

Once you get the bars aligned you can verify the other symbols. If you have aligned the incorrect bar just use the other one.

All of this is covered in great detail in my DVD restoration.
