Jennings Clocks & Orbital bushings

Hi Forum
Does anyone know why this orbital bushing is on some Jennings clocks and not others

It is on there to change the timing on the clock. This was used to prevent people from trying to get the machine in a rhythm for certain symbols especially on the first reel. It would change the spin time on the reel. Shorter or longer spin times. I think it was used on the later model clocks.

I liked the bushing better when it was all gummed
After freeing it, 6 out of 10 spins the first reel only moves 2-3 symbols
It almost appears that the mech is malfunctioning
I suppose I could replace the clock with a standard bushing

So I guess the small L bracket on the MOA is to engage the orbital bushing?
