Looking for some honest advice....

Postby millslot » Tue May 13, 2025 2:06 pm

Im going to be looking to sell my Mills high top slot Machine one of these days and hoping to get some opinions. For starters I'm a bit sad to let it go, I restored it myself about 16 years ago, but it's been sitting all wrapped up and protected in my closet for most of those years, it doesn't see much daylight, although I do love the thing I just really haven't gotten any reason to keep it.... As for me, unfortunately i need some fairly expensive gum grafting surgery this coming year, so parting with it will have to happen... anyways I started doing some searches for what these are going for and frankly I'm more confused than anything. Some searches on eBay and people have machines priced through the roof, but on sold and completed sales and I see some real solid machines have gone for honestly not much. (I by no means think a high top is going to pull in 3 or 4k, but jeez some diamond fronts sold for 500 bucks, I saw them getting kicked around at Chicagoland for more than that in 2011)

I guess I'm wondering, has the market for these machines died out? I haven't paid close attention to values of these in at least 10 years

Does anyone have any advice or an Idea of what this might be worth? It's fully restored, the thing is beautiful. But its still a common machine. I'm under no illusion of it having big value but I don't what to think anymore. Before I looked deeply I was hoping 1800-2000? Maybe that's a pipe dream haha

I'll post some pictures, it runs decent but my reals are sticking, and I think the springs weren't good in the payout fingers so I wired a couple back so I could keep playing it. But I did it so long ago I can't remember.

Anyways thanks for reading, and hope y'all are doing well, I was really pleased to see this forum still up and active after being out of the hobby for so long!

Well your 10 cent mills will sell for around $1000 dollars if working good and all original. May be in the future if the economy gets better a little more.

That's about what I'm seeing too, it kinda kills me to say this, but based on some eBay results I think I could part it all out for more than that. What a shame

Actually, $1000 is a little aggressive. It’s a common machine, with no special features, 777, Blue Bell, etc. and it’s a dime unit. Maybe $800. Sorry!
