Hi Mr. Dave this is **** and I spoke to you on the phone here are the pictures of the 2 one of a kind Mills slot machines. Let me know what you think and I will email you pictures of the other items shortly they are all kept in a safe place and I will have to go take those pictures

I replied and told him the machines were reproductions and I was not interested.

His reply was

And for your information I have all the original paper work on both machines so don't try to pull the fake bs with me. You really can not tell a real one from a fake have a good day

Really?? I cannot tell a fake War Eagle?? Silver Strips, single cherry pay in a newer figurine? Oh, and a Black Bart High Top?? What a tool!

I wonder what his other rare machines are that are in storage

The same person contacted a friend of mine today and said they had paid $10,000 each for these "original" Polks about 20 years ago.

For every 1 good machine I find I have to deal with hundreds of pure crap.

It just goes with the territory.

I don't know how many times I've gone to look at an "Antique Wurlitzer jukebox from the 40's that was in my Grandpa's tavern", only to find a non-working, 70's juke when I get there. I tell them that don't doubt that it was in their grandpa's tavern when they were a kid, but since they are 40 years old, that means that was in the late 70's or 80's. Plus now with smartphones it's easier to show them what they actually have. The bigger problem is when you tell them that a mid 70's Wurlitzer that doesn't work is worth about $75.00....
