Has Dave really retired?

Your informant is correct. I retired effective last Tuesday. Kind of a strange feeling but I think I will get used to it .

I spent close to 28 years doing research & development in the telecom industry.

My goal was to retire at 50 and I was able to hit it. I wanted to retire on my birthday but I missed it by a few months.

Now it is time to kick back and relax and pursue the fun stuff. Among other things, I have been wanting to make more enhancements to the online price guide. Now I will have time to do it.

I will also have more time to aggressively chase machines.

Yeah, I suppose I could do that .

I just bought me a new iMac i7. If that wasn't bad enough I added a big ass monitor and a 4 terabyte external drive to it

That will keep me amused for at least a week.

When I fired everything up, my wife just shook her head and walked out of my office. She does not know about the other hardware that is yet to be setup.

No such thing as having too much PC power or screen real estate.
