I just got this machine from a craigslist add i post weekly. To the beginners, I included. If you're getting ready to start collecting, posting a basic add can work for you.
This is my first Jennings and I haven't restore one before. I know little about this machine and request you insight about its history and value. Keep Collecting!

G'day from an Aussie newbie to this hallowed ground.

Nice machine there mendozaco. From the pics it appears in pretty good nick. I have a generic one too, it's called The Governor
but yours is a 'special' for Nevada Club as it has their logo on top of the silo jackpot as opposed to the standard Indian head.
You don't show a pic of the front of the mech so I can't tell whether it has a jp but I believe casino jp's had to have fixed amounts so most likely an attendant paid jp.

Nice machine and if its complet and working its worth 1000 to 1500. I have restored some like it.

Rich in New Jersey, thanks for the price range. It needed basic lubrication, adjustments and now its working fine.

Andydotp, the machine came without a JP and I believe you're right that the casino's attendant paid the JP once it was hit, because in this machine the jp is missing. Here are two pictures of the inside of the slot and the front end of the merch. I do have a JP for this machine that I got from ebay when I bought a group of Mills JPs and the order included a Jennings Nickle JP (Luck). It's missing a spring or two. Should I install it or keep it as original from the Casino?

If it fits and works I would put it in the machine. People love the jackpot feature. I did the same thing to a Mills hitop and it works great. Go for it!

That kinda makes sense to install it, I agree with Rich. Bit boring calling out to the missus for seven fifty every time you get the three in a line!!

RADIORICH..........I feel it safe to say, that the missus is not running into the room every 15 min. with a 7.50 donation. As you should know, any jackpot
machine is lucky to hit the 3 big-uns once in a blue moon. Now, on the other hand, if she is running to you with 7.50 any too often, it won't be long before
she detects that you have the back door off the machine, and setting the reels. She will then be confiscating all those unearned payouts for a trip to the
shoe store. ..............Bill

Nice machine, but I vote for NO Jackpot.

It's just not right and would be inconsistent with the marque.
The machine has Nevada Club all over it.
That Club logo in place of the Indian Head is really neat and the Nevada Club obviously had it customized to operate without an automatic jackpot.
The marque clearly indicates jackpot is $7.50 (no more, no less (unlike an auto jackpot)) to be paid by attendant.

Even if you only have one machine in your gameroom and really want a jackpot machine,
here's what I would do;
Flip it as all original and get another nice all original with jackpot.
You may even come out ahead on the deal;
someone with fond memories or connection with Nevada Club may pay a premium for this machine.
Finding that person used to be next to impossible, but now ebay makes it possible.

It's your machine and, obviously, you may do whatever you like;
I just like machines kept as when they were on location.
I have a pile of parts in the shed and it would never occur to me to start looking around the house to see what I could attach a spare part to just because I had the part.
It seems like putting chocolate syrup on a cheeseburger.
Chocolate is good.
Cheeseburgers are good.
They just don't go together.

Partly In light of the above 'leave it as-is' posts and also because I thought the moment I hit 'send' it was the wrong choice, permission is saught to rescind me vote and change me mind
Said machine would be out of character,,,,,said missus would be out of cash or very much 'in' new shoes (and handbags,,don't start me there,, have you seen the prices at Louis Vuitton).

Not wanting to hijack the thread, but I'm wondering about the jackpot. I bought a gooseneck Jennings with what appears to be an add-on twin jackpot from - well - not sure. Possibly a FEY. Does this mean the machine has a diminished value because of it? Seems to work properly, but you can see inside, the coin chute has been cobbled out of a sheet of tin, so it must not have been original. And, to get the coins to flow properly, I had to shim the mechanism out considerably.
